ABOUT ME
I obtained my Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational (IO) Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. I am currently working as the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Human Resource Intern at Long Beach City College.
My mission is to help build inclusive, purpose-driven workplaces where people from all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
I’m passionate about advancing DEIA initiatives, which drive innovation and organizational success by ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive. My interests include talent acquisition, DEIA strategy, training and development, and organizational development.
Through my graduate studies, I’ve built a strong foundation in research methods, statistics, and organizational diagnosis. I’ve also gained hands-on experience in job analysis, training, and consulting, all geared toward improving organizational effectiveness.
I’m excited to continue learning and growing as a professional while contributing to thoughtful, people-centered change in organizations.

What is I/O Psychology?
Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology is the study of human behavior in workplace settings. It applies psychological theories and research methods to solve problems related to employee performance, motivation, and satisfaction. I-O psychologists work on areas such as recruitment, training, leadership, selection, organizational development, and more.

DEIA Human Resource Intern
December 2024 - Present

LONG BEACH CITY COLLEGE
As a DEIA Human Resource Intern, I conducted literature reviews and researched podcasts to analyze trends and identify best practices to strengthen grant proposals. I organized and planned training workshops for management and employees to enhance DEIA initiatives, support leadership development, and improve managerial skills. Additionally, I created a handbook for administrators outlining the new hiring process. Lastly, I developed a training workshop on belonging for LBCC.

TOPCON POSITIONING SYSTEMS
May 2023 - August 2023

As an Human Resource Intern, I supported full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, phone screenings, offer letters, new hire presentations, and offboarding for roles like test technicians, assemblers, and executive assistants. I maintained employee records in Workday, ensuring accuracy with I-9s, onboarding documents, and termination packets. Additionally, I helped design a 15-week summer internship program. I also coordinated with vendors to enhance Topcon’s Perks program, offering employee discounts.

THADDEUS RESOURCE CENTER
As a Human Resource Intern, I managed the full recruitment process for various roles in Psychology and computer science positions, including sourcing candidates, screening applications, organizing interviews, and sending offer letters. I trained new Human Resource Interns on recruitment strategies, interview techniques, and candidate communication. I also facilitated weekly staff meetings and organized group activities to boost employee engagement and workplace satisfaction.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Dr. Amy Wax Lab
California State University, Long Beach
In this lab, I worked on a consulting project for the College of Engineering at CSULB, supporting faculty and staff. I organized qualitative data, identified key themes, and developed recommendations to improve the department. As part of this project, I also contributed to writing the final evaluation report for the Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (CEEE). Additionally, I am assisting with developing a book on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) by conducting literature reviews and writing about diversity-related topics.
